Beware! cheated while travelling

I want to share some of my experiences while travelling hoping you would gain some tips of how to not get cheated.

Cheats the autorickshaw wala
I was going from R.K.Puram to Birla mandir as I usually do so frequentlyto visit the temple there. The autorickshaw driver asked me 110 Rs for what i usually pay 80 Rs .When I told him that he was overcharging me,he held out a paper which said 11 km -110 Rs.I took the sheet and found out he was showing me night travel charges. He was a cheat and I just paid him what was due.

Cheats the autorickshaw wala 2
Beware of the three wheelers at Delhi roads they might take you round and round the same road and charge you double the amount,if you are not vigilant. It is better to fix the price of your destination before you hire a taxi or autorickshaw.Ask somebody how much it takes to go to such and such destination and you can get a fair idea.

Jama Masjid,Delhi

Jama Masjid,Delhi

It was my chance my chance to visit the history again in Delhi.I went to buy books from Nai Sadak and while returning from there ,I took a rickshaw to reach the bus stand. The rickshaw moved from the small lanes of Old Delhi making way in the maddening crowd. The smell of tasty food was enticing me but i just maintained my calm looking at my belly. All of a sudden a massive piece of architecture emerged from the congested lanes and my heart knew what to do.

Travel to Delhi

Delhi

Birla Mandir,Delhi

Being my birth place is close to my heart. Such is the historical importance of Delhi that ,it has been mentioned in Mahabharata by the name Indraprastha. It has been captured, plundered and recaptured so many times that history has lost counts. It has been ruled by slave kings, mughals and British. It is the capital of India, located on the banks of river Yamuna.Mugal king Shahjahan built many marvellous pieces of architecture here as well as the walled city of Delhi.British too changed there capital from Kolkatta to Delhi in !911.
Delhi extends from Narela in north to Badarpur in south to Seemapuri in east and Najafgarh in west.

Climate
Monsoon at Delhi

Delhi has varied climate. It is too hot in summer and too cold in winter, monsoon in July, August, mid-September. It can be visited anytime of the year except monsoon.

Nainital where lakes are everywhere and scenic beauty  spell bounds the imagination
distant view of himalayas
its a joy to travel to the mango shaped naini lake with beautiful scenery in it’s back ground .Pleasant weather to enhance the already beautiful surroundings and lovely people to interact to, is what I mean by Nainital. The place is reachable by train at Kotgodam which is around 200 km from Nainital. We travelled by train to Kotgodam and took taxi to Nainital. It was early in the morning when we reached Kotgodam and hopped onto taxi to view the scenic beauty at dawn. It took us fair amount of time to reach nainital but I enjoyed the ride ,taking breaks to have tea and parathas.Travelling becomes fun if you add parathas to it.
