Travel to Delhi

Delhi

Birla Mandir,Delhi

Being my birth place is close to my heart. Such is the historical importance of Delhi that ,it has been mentioned in Mahabharata by the name Indraprastha. It has been captured, plundered and recaptured so many times that history has lost counts. It has been ruled by slave kings, mughals and British. It is the capital of India, located on the banks of river Yamuna.Mugal king Shahjahan built many marvellous pieces of architecture here as well as the walled city of Delhi.British too changed there capital from Kolkatta to Delhi in !911.
Delhi extends from Narela in north to Badarpur in south to Seemapuri in east and Najafgarh in west.

Climate
Monsoon at Delhi

Delhi has varied climate. It is too hot in summer and too cold in winter, monsoon in July, August, mid-September. It can be visited anytime of the year except monsoon.

Nainital where lakes are everywhere and scenic beauty  spell bounds the imagination
distant view of himalayas
its a joy to travel to the mango shaped naini lake with beautiful scenery in it’s back ground .Pleasant weather to enhance the already beautiful surroundings and lovely people to interact to, is what I mean by Nainital. The place is reachable by train at Kotgodam which is around 200 km from Nainital. We travelled by train to Kotgodam and took taxi to Nainital. It was early in the morning when we reached Kotgodam and hopped onto taxi to view the scenic beauty at dawn. It took us fair amount of time to reach nainital but I enjoyed the ride ,taking breaks to have tea and parathas.Travelling becomes fun if you add parathas to it.

mussoorie ...travel war won in one day

                                                                                                                    Food
                                                                                                                          Transport
                                                                                                                             What to see
It was a sudden urge to go out from the maddening crowd of delhi.I decided to be at a mountain top next day which was a sunday.I blurted out my plans to my wife and we were ready for another fun packed action. We decided to meet at interstate bus terminal at 3 pm and start our voyage. As usual she was late and i kept waiting for her at the terminal....but she did come and we were off to a bus to visit what is called mussorie.
It was very sunny day and till the evening we were basking in sun but my excitement didnot let that ruin my enthu.Bus was running down the road and it was a pleasant evening .It gives me great pleasure to watch fields and villages passing by from the bus.The zipping past of the eucalyptus trees and seeing people work on the field is a experience which is more enjoyable than the place of visit..Travelling is more fun than reaching a desired place.Jams at the major cities is what i hate but can do little about it

Gangotri trip

I wish to go somewhere i can admire the creativity of god ....a place which vibrates with His presence.I think i have found out that place and i am planning my next travel trip to Gangotri. As i have heard it is a beautiful place with quiet surrounding where sadhus take a dip in ice cold water .I just imagine myself along the ice capped mountains and a ice glacier in my site. What fun will that be i am excited like a little kid.Nowadays its raining there and i have read about a landslide there but i think it will be over by one month and that's the time a child will meet with his Creator.
At Gangotri there is a temple devoted to goddess Ganga and a sacred place where Bhagirath is believed to worship Lord Shiva. The origin of river Ganga is at Gaumukh, which is 18 km from the Gangotri temple. The river is called Bhagirathi at its origin and gets the name Ganga as it reaches the Devprayag.
The Gangotri temple is the central point of the village and devotees from around the globe come to pay homage to Ganga river. The semwal priests perform the rituals at the temple.

                                                                                                                                       maps inside post
kedarnath
A marvel to visit for those with religious sentiments and scenic beauty for those looking for some adventure trekking and mountain gazing.Kedarnath is famous for pandavs who spotted shiva here when they searched for him after the war, they travelled wide spaces to find Shiva. The place is quite cold and the temple is sourrounded by snow capped mountain. The enthusiast can either take a horse to the temple or can walk the entire 14 km route on foot.It is very nice and warm when we start our journey from gauri kund but as we head towards the temple chill starts going stronger.
Tapt kund
There is a spring just as we start our expedition which is known as tapt kund.A bath in the kund gives moksha to anyone taking a dip ...as i was told there.A i took a bath there but a lot of sulpur odour was too much for me.We started late for our  mountain climbing task as it was already ten o clock in the morning. Many a people had already left at 6 in the morning. We were told that the journey to kedarnath would take us only 6 hrs but to our surprise it took 10 hrs for us on foot.
