Kausani ,hill station is famous for its scenic beauty and the spectacular view of
 Himalayan peaks it provides. It serves as a window to the peaks of Himalayan
region like Nanda deviNandakot and Trishul. Situated at height of1890 mts
above the sea, this picturesque hill station is 50 km north of Almora. The town
is open for tourist all-round the year. The best time to visit this place is between
September and November.Kausauni is birth place to renowned poet Sumitra
Nandan Pant who praised this place immensely.The town is calm and serene
away from the rush that hill stations usually have. A walk down the dense forests
 is refreshing ,trekking can be fun here.

Airport-Pant Nagar airport 178 km is the nearest to this place.
Train-Kathgodam 142km is the nearest railway station .
Road-Kausani is linked to major hill station by road.Delhi 430 km ,Almora 51
km and Ranikhet 62 km.


What to see in Kausani
Anasakti Ashram-Here Mahatama Gandhi spent few days writing his book
‘Anasakti Yoga’.His memorabilia are still kept here with books on Gandhi
and his philosophy.
Pant Museum-This museum dedicated to renowned poet SumitraNandan
Pant shows his poems ,letters and his personal items.
Kumaon Shawl Emporium- A shawl emporium for woollen and shawls.
Baijnath-Situated at a height of 1100 mts above sea level this important
historical place lies on Bank of river Gomati. The temple of Shiva ,Parvati,
Kuber and other Hindu deities can be found here. The beautiful carvings
and sculpture is splendid.
